James R. MulvihillCEO. James R. Mulvihill is the CEO of MIRA. Mr. Mulvihill is also a co-founder and managing partner of Black Creek. Mr. Mulvihill co-founded some of the first Black Creek affiliated entities commencing in 1991 with John Blumberg and Evan Zucker, and co-founded Dividend Capital Group in 2002 with Mr. Blumberg and Mr. Zucker. Mr. Mulvihill was a co-founder and currently serves as a director of DCT Industrial Trust (NYSE: DCT), formerly known as Dividend Capital Trust. He is also a co-founder and former chairman of the board of Corporate Properties of the Americas (CPA), one of the largest owners and developers of industrial properties in Mexico. In 1993, Mr. Mulvihill co-founded American Real Estate Investment Corp. (later known as Keystone Property Trust, NYSE: KTR) which was an industrial, office and logistics REIT and was acquired by ProLogis Trust (NYSE: PLD) in August 2004. Mr. Mulvihill served as its chairman and as a director from 1993 through 1997 and as a director of Keystone Property Trust from 1997 through 2001. From 1986 to 1991, Mr. Mulvihill served in various capacities, most recently vice president, in the real estate banking and investment banking groups of Manufacturer’s Hanover and subsequently Chemical Bank, where his responsibilities included real estate syndication efforts, structured debt underwritings and leveraged buyout real estate financings. Mr. Mulvihill holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford University.

Javier BarriosPresident. Javier Barrios is the President of the General Partner. Prior to joining the General Partner, Mr. Barrios was CEO of BCBA Residential in Mexico City. He co-founded BCBA in 1991. BCBA’s primary focus is middle-income and high-end residential development in the first and second home markets. During Mr. Barrios’ tenure as CEO, BCBA grew from a single-asset entity into a fully integrated development firm with 90 employees, presence in eight cities and over 42 projects representing 7,500 residential units and nine million square feet, including projects in process. He was involved in the placement of one of the first investment-grade Mexican mortgage-backed securities and structured several equity investment programs with Mexican and U.S.institutional investors. He is a founding partner and former president of Metroscubicos.com, currently the largest real estate portal, magazine and online brokerage network in Latin America.  In addition, he is a founder of Kionetworks, a leading datacenter developer and operator in Mexico. Mr. Barrios finished serving his two-year term as president of the ADI, the national developers association, in March 2007. Prior to forming BCBA, Mr. Barrios worked in corporate finance at Citibank’s Mexican subsidiary. Mr. Barrios holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Universidad Panamericana and a master of business administration from Harvard Business School.

Robert E. BattingVice President of Investments.  Robert E. Batting joined Black Creek in January 2005 as an associate, and provides financial underwriting, capital structuring and due diligence support.  Most recently, Mr. Batting has been involved with Black Creek’s investments in the Mexican residential market.  Prior to joining Black Creek, Mr. Batting was a naval architect at Northrup Grumman Ship Systems from 2003 to 2004.  In this role, he was involved in the development of U.S. and foreign military surface ship programs.  Mr. Batting holds a bachelor of science degree in engineering from theUniversity of Michigan, College of Engineering.

Juan Carlos OstosFinance Director. Juan Carlos Ostos is the Finance Director of the General Partner. Mr. Ostos joined the General Partner in February 2009. Prior to joining the General Partner, Juan Carlos was Finance Controller for Johnson & Johnson Mexico where he was responsible of business/financial/strategic planning, financial controlling and financial analysis. Prior to that, Mr. Ostos was involved in several investment banking and corporate finance activities with the McGraw-Hill Companies in New York. Prior to his MBA, Mr. Ostos was the General Manager of Pedregal TSE, a bulletproof car manufacturing company in Mexico, which he led to become one of the industry leaders. Mr. Ostos holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University.

Steve VogelVice President. Steven Vogel joined the General Partner in May 2008 and is responsible for the Second Home plataform targeting American and Canadian baby boomers. Prior to joining the General Partner, Mr. Vogel was Director of Olson Lifestyle for The Olson Company –California’s leader in mixed-use and transit-oriented in-town developments.  In this role, he was responsible for New Business Development, Corporate Sales & Marketing and Green Initiatives.  Prior to that, Mr. Vogel was: Director of Acquisitions and Corporate Finance for KSL Resorts - an owner/operator of luxury destination resorts and a KKR portfolio company; and an Investment Banking Analyst in Merrill Lynch¹s Leveraged Finance Group in New York.  Mr. Vogel holds a bachelor¹s degree in Corporate Finance from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration from The UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Roberto PulidoAssociate.  Roberto Pulido joined MIRA in July 2008.  He worked as a Summer Associate for Black Creek in Denver, CO in 2007 where he performed financial analysis, underwriting and market analysis for several potential investments for MIRA and Black Creek.  Previous to that, he worked as an Analyst in BCBA Residencial, a real estate developer that primarily focused is middle-income and high-end residential development in the first and second home markets, where he was in charge of performing financial analysis, investor relations and reporting.  Mr. Pulido holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and a Master of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Rodrigo BretónAssociate. Rodrigo Bretón joined MIRA in February of 2010. Previously, he worked as an Associate in Citi’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group in New York where he advised U.S. publicly traded REITs in the execution of capital raising transactions and strategic acquisitions. While at Citi, Mr. Bretón raised over $3 billion dollars in the public markets of both debt and equity capital, participated in the IPO of an office REIT, and advised on strategic asset portfolio transactions in the Hotel and Retail sectors. Prior to that, Mr. Bretón worked for four years at Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services division in Mexico City as a corporate finance consultant. At E&Y Mr. Bretón acted as a financial advisor in public-private project finance infrastructure transactions as well as performed transaction driven valuation and fairness opinion services for large multinational companies doing business in Mexico. Mr. Bretón holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from NYU Stern School of Business.

Alejandro PirronFinance Manager. Alejandro Pirron joined the General Partner in April 2009. Prior to this date, Alejandro was Senior Financial Analyst for Johnson & Johnson Mexico where he was responsible of strategic/financial planning and financial analysis for several business units. Mr. Pirron also participated in the development of a new commercial policy, the improvement of the risk management process and as the leader of the social responsibility program in J&J Mexico. Prior to that he worked in Procter & Gamble where he led several cost reduction projects. Mr. Pirron holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance Administration from ITESM

Mariana RobinaInvestment Analyst.  Mariana Robina joined MIRA in July 2008. Prior to joining the Fund, she worked as a market analyst at Quality Inmobiliaria Robina since 2007.  In her role she was involved in the design of formats to carry out comparative housing market studies.  Miss Robina holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana.  She is certified as a Real Estate Professional by AMPI (Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals).

Manuel ÁlvarezInvestment Analyst. Manuel Álvarez joined MIRA as an investment analyst in September 2009. Prior to this date, Mr. Álvarez worked for Monsanto, a global leader in biotechnology, as a project analyst where he held Latin America Long Range Plans, financial support in acquisitions and seed treatment strategies. In 2007, still for Monsanto, he worked as a cost analyst for Mexico Seed Business Units and he was responsible for forecast and budget processes in manufacturing. In addition, he was certified as a Lean Practitioner with the “Hand Labor Costing Model Project”. Previous to that, Manuel worked in BANOBRAS, Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios Públicos, as a trainee in the Business Promotion Department, where he enhanced an exhaustive research for potential projects. Manuel holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and a diploma in Corporate Finance from ITAM.
